Why CPSS
California Protection Security Services brings 26 years of experience dealing with homeowners' associations, residential properties, and high-rise office buildings. We provide security/concierge services. Our guards are trained in manners, such as polite greetings to homeowners and visitors. Our security/concierge personnel are well-groomed and articulate. We train our guards with grooming, good personal appearance as well as security/concierge protocol.
California Protection Security acts as an extension of management when your business office closes. Any and everything that occurs while CPSS is on the job will be documented and reported to the business office. California Protection is one of the first companies to introduce security/concierge services for its homeowners, residents, and visitors. We provide this for homeowner associations, residential communities, and high-rise office buildings.
California Protection Security was the first security company to be hired by the City of Los Angeles to supplement the Los Angeles Police Department. California Protection Security guards are on the streets of Los Angeles, acting as police officers. We reduced crime in Wilshire Center and received a televised commendation from, then, Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan and Chief of Police, Bernard Parks.
Because of California Protections reputation in the security industry, Garry Martin was asked to write an article on terrorism after the 9/11 attack in New York. This article was featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal.
On June 14, 2001, the President of CPSS was awarded a certificate of commendation, the Peggy Gibbson Memorial Award, "in recognition of (his) efforts and selfless actions performed to aid... fellow citizens (of the) Wilshire community."
Though this award was presented to the President, it is through the tireless efforts and dedication of the highly trained officers of California Protection Security Services that motivated the Mayor, the Los Angeles City Council, the Wilshire Center Chamber of Commerce, the Wilshire Rotary Club of Los Angeles, and the Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce to honor the company's top executive.
CPSS has been contracted by the City of Lynwood for the past 18 years and our officers have been dealing with gangs, drug dealers, homeless, and transients for the past 18 years. We work this area in collaboration well with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department.
CPSS also had a 5-year contract with the County of Los Angeles, Department of Children and Family Services. CPSS provided guard services to 100 county facilities, where the clientele is comprised primarily of woman and small children. Guards assigned to this account go through a thorough background check to assure, among other things, that there is nothing in their history that precludes them from working with children.
At CPSS every commitment to the customer is in writing, with a fixed timetable for each event. If funds are to be commissioned, CPSS states the exact cost and will set aside those dollars so that our customers know the precise cost involved in any project.
