CPSS has been providing a variety of security and management services to a diverse list of clients for 26 years. CPSS clients have included upscale residential properties throughout Los Angeles, Marina del Rey, Palos Verdes, and Orange County areas. Also, homeowner associations, numerous high-rise buildings, a medical facility, commercial and retail properties including malls and business improvement districts (BID). At one time, one of our largest clients was the County of Los Angeles, Department of Children and Family Services.

California Protection is the first company to introduce security concierge service to residential properties and homeowners associations in high-rise buildings.

The founder and President of California Protection brings 10 years of experience as a Los Angeles police officer.

Turnover

Personnel retention is an integral part of employee turnover. California Protection Security Services will retain the highest standard of security performance achievable throughout the term of your contract in the following ways. First, CPSS officers are compensated at a rate higher than the industry average and promotions are normally offered to employees from within the existing workforce. This practice allows CPSS to attract and retain security officers who not only meet our rigid requirements, but also are better able to meet the strict demands of our clients. Secondly, CPSS has the practice of promoting from within which stimulates friendly competitiveness, but more importantly provides an incentive for employees to remain with the company because they have a reasonable expectation of being given the opportunity to promote within the organization. Finally, our experience shows that guards tend to remain with the company when they are assigned to accounts that represents prestige, such as bicycle patrol and government contracts.

Employee of the Month/Year

This award is based on superior of job performance. Our clients normally participate in the process. The award consists of a certificate and a cash award. At the end of the year, the employee of the year is selected from among the monthly winners. The program is available upon the client's request.

Training Awards

California Protection Security Services requires a specific individual training session every 90 days. After passing a qualifying test, all officers are eligible for our training bonus. They are asked a specific question from the training material. If answered correctly , the officer gets a $25 bonus.

Quarterly Supervisory Awards

Every quarter, management hosts site supervisors at a banquet, where we give bonus dollars for account quality. Each region awards a supervisor-of-the-quarter and in December a supervisor of the year is named. December is special, because our banquet includes spouses and is an elegant semi-formal affair.

Advancement Opportunity

Although outside talent is never ignored, we strive to promote from within. By offering recognition for an excellent job, a major factor of employee dissatisfaction is eliminated. Promotions not only motivate the security force to do a better job, but also are of value to our clients who benefit from a low turnover of security personnel at their facilities because of the motivational factor.

Ownership of Client's Goals

To instill a sense of ownership in employees, CPSS management must articulate the goals and timetables set by the client and assure that employees clearly understand them. Secondly, management involves employees in identifying the objectives needed to achieve each goal. Standards for measuring achievement are also identified by this group. Finally, employees periodically receive feedback on how well the organization is performing, when measured against standards set for achieving each objective.
